So who is going to the second annual Maker Faire? ME, ME, ME! I had a lot of fun at last year's faire and can't wait for this one. I was lucky enough to be one of the Maker's last year and taught a quick workshop on how to needlepoint. Showing how to transfer your design to canvas, different stitch types and examples of how you could use your finished needlepoint canvases.
This year I am teaching a workshop called Cinch it with Style. I will be showing how you can take scraps of fabric and some ribbon, then make it into a reversible belt/sash. Here is a picture of what I submitted to the Maker Faire:
There is a little be of something for everyone there. I didn't know what to expect last year and was a bit nervous that my boyfriend would get bored, but we spent the entire day wandering around and had a great time. This year is going to be even bigger. It is very inspiring and gets your creative juices flowing, so you should come on out and get your craft on!
