Lots of big things have been happening here at Lulubliss headquarters.
- I have filed all the paperwork so now I am finally a legit business! Easy to do, but just time consuming. Honestly, I don't know what took me so long.
- I took a really great workshop, Breakthrough:Strategies for Artistic Growth, at the San Jose Musuem of Quilts and Texitiles last friday, . In it we explored different ways to tap into your creativity. It was an eye opening day and I really discovered somethings about my creative process. My main hurdle to work through is that I am to rigid and I want things to be perfect. So I rarely just let loose and create something, I have to plan and mull it over for a while, before even doing it. And I am a master creativity procrastinator, always finding other things to do, like the dishes or laundry. I definitely got some food for thought out of the day, on top of being surrounded by many friendly and creative ladies.
- The most exciting new is that I am setting up my Etsy shop! I will be selling vintage finds that I have collected over the years, due to my thrift store habit. There are going to be a lot of goodies (clothing, scarves, sewing patterns, shoes, housewares, ect). I should have a few things posted tomorrow, but there will be MANY more to follow in the coming weeks. I didn't realize how much stuff I had to sell and how time consuming it is to take photos of it all. I will let you know once it is up and running.
Here is a little fabric eye candy: PINK MUSHROOMS!
This will not be going in my shop, I am keeping this treasure. I found it over the weekend, it is actually a big smock type thing, but I bought it just for the fabric.
