Pinked Edge Scarf ~ $3.95

The Pinked Edge Scarf has one edge that zig-zags, it reminds me of fabric that has been cut by pinking shears. This stunning asymmetrical scarf is a chinch to make and suitable for beginners. It is crocheted on the bias for a nice drape and really shows off self striping yarns with long repeats. An adaptable pattern that can be made in a variety of yarn weights, not just the two pictured, have fun and experiment a bit.

 

Pelaline Scarf ~ $3.95

The Petaline Lace Scarf is an elegant crocheted scarf, that a beginner can make.  Who knew that using only chain and double crochet stitches, you could get such a chic looking lace scarf.  This pattern shows two different sized samples made in fingering weight and lace weight yarns, both samples used the same size hook.  Don’t stop there... Try experimenting with other weights of yarn.  

 

 

Pirouette Fingerless Gloves ~ $3.95

The Pirouette Fingerless Gloves are a feminine, fun and fairly quick crochet project.  They are worked in the round, spiraling up from the cuff to the fingers with some interesting stitch details to make them special.  A great project to give as a gift, but make sure to make a pair for yourself too.  These look good made up in solid or variegated yarns.

 

I am feeling the love!

I had no idea the two brand new patterns that I released yesterday on Ravelery would be so popular!  They were both on the VERY FIRST page of the "Hot Right Now" page.  The Trixie Cowl in knitting and the Pinked Edge Scarf in crochet.  I couldn't resist a screen shot:

 

I have been so quiet and shy about my patterns.  They have been in the works for awhile, but the whole self promotion thing really scares me.  I also find putting myself out there on the web very intimidating, since I am a bit clueless about it all.  I do so much better in person, which was great for my first pattern, the Polka Spot Scarf, I released that one at the end of October 2011.  I posted it on Ravelry and put a sample out at Bobbin's Nest.  The pattern sold well through the store, customers could see and feel the actual sample and ask me any questions they had.   Now that the physical Bobbin's Nest store is closed, I can't do that, so it forced me to go online with everything.  It is a good thing, because I have had to step out of my comfort zone and put my patterns out into the much larger audience of the internet.  It feels good to see my patterns received so well online.  Thanks!

So Excited...

It is official, I will be selling my patterns at Stitches West!   Come on by the Jordana Paige and Bobbin's Nest booth (#'s 731-735) to visit.  For the locals who miss the bricks and mortar Bobbin's Nest store, this is the chance to get your fix.  I feel so fortunate to be able to do this, because there is no way that I could have afforded or filled up my own booth.  And, I am in such good company, our booth will feature:
